Orange woman killed in a fatal Mauriceville crash

A 50-year-old women was killed Tuesday in a vehicle crash in Mauriceville.

Patricia Harrington, of Orange, around 5:30 p.m. was westbound on Farm Road 2802 west of Foxtrot Drive in a Nissan SUV when the crash occured, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Patricia Harrington was driving a 2007 Nissan SUV westbound on FM 2802 at approximately 5:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, the release said.

“The vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed while attempting to negotiate a curve and drove off the roadway to the right and overturned,” according to a news release.

Her 58-year-old passenger Paul Harrington, also of Orange, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment, DPS said in a news release Tuesday night.

The crash remains under investigation. No further information was available by press time.
