Police release name of driver killed in fatal intersection crash

Police have released the name of a man who was killed in a crash at a Beaumont intersection Tuesday night.

Bryant K. Foster, 31 of Beaumont, we pronounced dead at the scene.

The Beaumont Police Department received a call for the major crash shortly before 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Dowlen Road and Phelan Boulevard.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that a Jeep Compass disregarded a red traffic light and entered the intersection, striking a Cadillac SUV,” Beaumont PD said in a news release on Wednesday.

Police said Foster was driving the Jeep.

The other passenger of the Jeep, as well as the driver of the Cadillac, were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” the release said.

“The investigation is on-going,” Beaumont PD said.
